About Erik Irwin Bespoke Jewellery

I am Erik Irwin and I have spent my life designing and creating bespoke jewellery pieces, as individual as you are.

​

Educated at the Liverpool School of Art, prior to serving an apprenticeship with a Manufacturing Jeweller in Liverpool, I later returned to the College of Art as a part time Tutor.

​

In 1967, I established my own jewellery business in Chester and soon became known as a Goldsmith of some standing, with commissions for my jewellery received from across the world, including Europe, USA, Japan and Australia.

​

As a successful Goldsmith Designer for more than 50 years, I have supplied exclusive ranges of my jewellery to stores across Great Britain and created individually designed commissioned items to the general public.

​

Over the years, I have acquired an impressive client list, including The Royal Mint.  As such, I was personally requested to design a Diamond Pendant to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee.  This resulted in the production, in my Chester workshop, of a Limited Edition pendant known as The Imperial Star.  I based the design around the Coronation Crown, which remains on view at the Tower of London.

I continue to enjoy the repair and restoration of modern, classical and antique jewellery in my Chester workshop whilst, at the same time, sourcing, supplying and setting precious gemstones, utilising my extensive experience as a Gemmologist.

• Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain;

• Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths (London) and

• Freeman of the City of London.
